Bringing change through research requires a thorough government analysis and the formulation of effective open source policies that improve policy development.

We have completed our analysis of the West Midlands Police and their use of AI in operational decision-making. We determine that the failure was one of governance, not technology — and that it cost the Chief Constable his position
We have just announced one of our research projects focusing on the new Mental Health and Act (2025) and its connection to adoption, which includes a comprehensive government analysis and insights into open source policies that inform policy development.
Following the BBC Radio File on Four Scandal into adoption support and having spoken to many adopters and through our networks we were convinced that there was a common theme. We discovered that many Local Authorities, have no mechanism for providing the statutory duties they are required to provide. We consulted, professionals, adopters, published literature and legal advice to produce this framework.
We are an independent research organisation dedicated to conducting government analysis to identify failures in both National and Local Government. Through comprehensive systems analysis, we investigate these failures to understand their underlying causes. Utilising our research, established legal frameworks, and best practices, we focus on policy development to create world-class policies that integrate modern techniques for organisational improvement. Our open source policies, funded by private donations, ensure that these valuable resources are accessible to all.
Due to the sensitive nature of our work and the need to protect those who contribute to it, many of whom work within the public sector, LOGOS Bound does not publish the names of its authors, researchers, or contributors.
Our research frequently addresses governance failures within public bodies. Those who assist our work, whether by providing information, contributing expertise, or reviewing our analysis, must be able to do so without risk to their professional position.
This policy is not a matter of secrecy. It is a matter of principle. The value of our work lies in its accuracy and independence, not in the identity of those who produce it.
We ask that our publications are judged on their merits.
